Setting the Landscape Framework
Freestone I represents one of the first residential landscape expressions within the Freestone Lake & Golf Club, establishing a foundational approach to how land, architecture, and outdoor living intersect within this exclusive development. Landvisions was engaged to lead the landscape architecture, design, and construction for this expansive lakeside estate, shaping a cohesive outdoor environment rooted in the natural character of the site.

Spatial Organization & Outdoor Living
The landscape is organized as a sequence of outdoor rooms that extend the home into the surrounding landscape. An elegant arrival court transitions into a central courtyard garden, which then opens to expansive terraces and a resort-style pool complex overlooking the lake. Each space is carefully scaled and oriented to support both intimate daily use and large-scale entertaining, reinforcing a strong indoor–outdoor relationship.
Materiality & Planting Design
A restrained palette of stone, wood, and concrete anchors the landscape to its Hill Country setting. Native and adaptive plantings provide structure, texture, and seasonal interest while preserving long-range views to the lake and surrounding woodland. Subtle grading and layered planting create softness and privacy without interrupting the overall openness of the site.
