New Cross Country Trail at All Saints Episcopal School

New Cross Country Trail at All Saints Episcopal School

Recently, our team had the opportunity to give back to the Tyler community by completing a meaningful project for All Saints Episcopal School: the creation of a 1.9-mile cross country trail winding through the school’s wooded property.

This project reflects Landvisions’ ongoing commitment to supporting the communities where we work. With spring cross country meets on the horizon, timing was everything, and our crew was proud to help set student athletes up for a strong season ahead.

From Woods to Winning Strides

The goal was clear: transform dense, overgrown woodland into a safe, versatile trail system that could serve multiple programs across campus while respecting the natural beauty of the site. To make it happen, our crews tackled:

  • Selective tree removals to open safe and sustainable trail corridors
  • Brush hogging and undergrowth clearing for visibility and flow
  • Trail shaping and grading to create a smooth, consistent running surface

The result is a 1.9-mile trail network now actively used for cross country and track training, while also supporting PE classes and science coursework. Over the course of several days, what was once thick brush and uneven terrain became a clearly defined course designed for performance, safety, and year-round campus use.

“The trails are challenging and will thoroughly prepare our athletes for any Cross Country or Track meet. They’ve already improved training, reduced the risk of injury, and opened the door for us to host our first Cross Country meet in school history. The benefits are endless, and the trails will be used by our entire school community.”

Looking Ahead

We’re proud to support All Saints Episcopal School and excited to see their cross country athletes put this trail to use in upcoming meets. Community-focused projects like this are a growing part of what we do. If your school, nonprofit, or community organization has a land improvement need, we’d love to talk about how Landvisions can help clear the way.
