The exterior style was focused on a simple compliment to the charm of what was once a quiet home in a small town neighborhood, providing an opportunity to showcase a positive experience together in the outdoors.

The design for Long Cove’s entry and gate was focused on a light footprint, and a visual extension of the natural surroundings.  A first impression, and true expression to the natural preservation surrounding the planning of this 1200 acre development on Cedar Creek lake.

Henderson Bay boasts a 40 acre protected park system providing Long Cove residents and guests with an abundance of outdoor charm and recreation amenities such as the Bayside infinity pool, canoe house, and a trail system network that meanders for miles.

The collaboration of designing and building Tree Top Towers was a testament to adventure in the outdoors, allowing campers to push their limits.  This interactive experience includes climbing walls, swings, ziplines, bungee jumping, and much more.

The custom negative edge pool provides a seamless connection from the house perimeter, native landscape, and embankment of the Red River. Because of the proximity to the Red River and shoreline ecosystem, every aspect of the pool was strategically engineered to withstand the soil condition and changing river level.

Being located on the Red River, the integration of water is an important focal point and aesthetic component to this project. The design of a still reflection pool running the length of the home’s front elevation provides a powerful arrival experience that secretly exposes what is soon to be discovered with the river view from the back of the home.

To compliment the Corten steel house foundation, angled Corten walls were illuminated and juxtaposed with vertical stone veneer and frame the cubed building core and courtyard providing a cohesive, visual aesthetic.
