Overview
As one of the original home owners in Long Cove, our client was very familiar with the Landvisions team, having watched us lead the design-build process for the larger community. This made for an easy selection of our landscape architecture, construction, and maintenance services due to a relationship built on trust.
We worked with our client and Platinum Homes to facilitate a design process that focused on the value of the surrounding site features and providing outdoor living spaces. Seamlessly connecting the built and natural environment ensured that the exterior spaces were both functional and engaging, while remaining consistent with the context of Long Cove’s style.
Working through our design-build process allowed our team to constantly have conversations surrounding installation costs, timeline, and overall response to the exterior development. This proved to be an extremely beneficial delivery model, with the transition from design to finalizing construction being completed in three months.
Since then, we have been working with our client for three years with our Landscape Management program. This has ensured our team’s ability to be involved in protecting and developing our client’s initial investment by maintaining the property and making improvements over time.

This Firepit terrace was designed and installed with a primary focus of creating a gathering space lakeside for those spectacular sunsets and cool evenings. Native materials and a steel fire bowl were used for complimenting a quite and simple approach to this informal space.

A native palette was developed to blend the exterior development of the site with it’s natural surroundings. Use of these native materials are displayed in layers to help provide seamless connections between defined spaces and the native landscape beyond.
