Landvisions was hired as a design consultant to provide landscape architecture services for our client’s second home for one of Cross Pine’s most intimate homesites. The nature of exterior design for a second home, is one that requires a solid foundation for the design and thought in creating a practical approach to the long-term management and maintenance of the exterior and it’s uses.
Intentional uses of native materials provided the fabric for both maintaining a seamless context with that of the Architecture, and preserving the ecology of the site. We are proud to share the result, and our collaborative work with both the client and contractor in developing simply one of the most spectacular homesites in Cross Pines.
Integrating native plants, grasses, and trees that exist on various areas of the ranch, enabled our design team the ability to communicate visually with the natural elements of the site.
This rectangular steel water feature evolved as an anchor to the adjacent outdoor terrace. Its placement provides visual interest from the interior of the home, and lures the senses of sight and sound while relaxing lakeside.
