Overview

With a common shared purpose of providing a sense of community by bringing people together, our Local Habit design collaboration involved creating an outdoor space where great coffee and good vibes can be a catalyst for everyday life in the community it serves, encouraging it’s visitors to “GO MAKE SOMETHING GOOD HAPPEN”.

Having recently completed a mixed-use development design project for our client, Local Habit was an opportunity to showcase a unique location and destination for the ordinary town folk that simply enjoy being together and supporting the experience of community. Surrounding the charm of a historic home located in a small East Texas town, our focus was creating a unique yet simple sense of place, relaxed outdoor aesthetic, and a revived preservation of the site’s historic character.

Our team provided concepts related to site planning and development for Local Habit, a community coffee shop that supports fueling a better day and connection with each other. The exterior style was focused on a simple compliment to the charm of what was once a quiet home in a small town neighborhood, providing an opportunity to showcase a positive experience together in the outdoors.
